Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

DentCheck is designed to respect your privacy. This policy explains, plainly, what the tool does and does not collect.

What we do not collect

DentCheck does not ask for or store your name, email, phone number, address, or any other information that identifies you. We do not require an account. We do not track your location using your IP address. We do not sell or share data with advertisers, and the tool shows no ads.

What we do collect

To understand how the tool is used and improve it, DentCheck records anonymous, aggregate usage data:

  • That a visit to the site occurred.
  • That a coverage check was completed, along with the province selected, a broad age band (for example, 25 to 44), a broad income band (for example, under $70k), and the general eligibility outcome.

This information is stored as broad categories, never exact values, and is not connected to your identity or to any individual session in a way that could identify you. It tells us, for example, "a check was completed in Ontario by someone in the 25 to 44 age band," and nothing more.

The answers you enter

The answers you give in the questionnaire (such as your exact age and income) are used to calculate your results in your browser. Your exact figures are not transmitted or stored; only the broad bands described above are recorded for aggregate statistics.

How the data is used

Aggregate usage data is used only to understand overall usage of the tool, how many people use it, which provinces they're in, and which outcomes are common. It is never used to contact, profile, or identify any individual.

Third parties

DentCheck is hosted on Vercel and uses a database provided by Neon to store the anonymous aggregate data described above. These providers process data on our behalf to run the service.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the tool evolves. The date at the top reflects the most recent change.
